About the Project
The club is established to promote reading culture, creativity, critical thinking and lifelong learning through book discussion sessions, literary and educational competitions and other creative and learning activities in communities and educational institutions. It also provides opportunities for young people to exchange ideas, discover new perspectives and connect with fellow readers, writers and other learners across Africa.
Project Initiatives
Book Discussion
Book Discussion is one of the club’s major activities that brings together members and the general public bimonthly to discuss a book of interest. A member or any resource person can lead the discussion online or offline. People gather to read, highlight and critique areas of literary and societal interests in a book.

Bakandamiya Literary Challenge
Bakandamiya Literary Challenge is one of BRC’s major competitions that comes on the 1st of every month. It is designed to spark creativity and generate well-researched literary contents. Winners take away money prizes, certificates and other perks.
